I should have introduced myself to you firstly.
My full name is Sonia Kurniawati. Everyone calls me Sonia.
I study at UMY, Yogyakarta, Indonesia as a university student.
I am looking forward to seeing you all here in my blog, give some comments, or feedback so that I can change everything to be better than ever.


I made this blog for a purpose. My lecturer asked me to write something about my experience using Elsa Speak, so I did some.
I want my blog to look like vintage but classy. So, here is my blog. Enjoy!😉

Beauty Is Not Only From the Heart - Sonia's voice

As a woman, I want to be beautiful physically. Every woman does, I believe so.
People might say that beauty is from the heart. I literally do not believe that. In fact, Indonesian people judge others by their physically.
When I was in elementary school, I have been bullied by my friend. She was so beautiful at the time, I dare say. However, It is not her right to judge people by their body, face, physics. Nor everyone!
Until I went to senior high school, I still do not want to put everything kind of makeup/skincare on my face, too scary for me.
But, I've been told by my sisters. Although I was scared by putting makeup on my face, I must have to take care of my skin. So, when I was in the first semester of university, I decided to buy things such as skincare. I went to the Body shop, Guardian, Watsons, and other skin care stores' both online and offline. Unfortunately, I know nothing about what product suits me. I was soooo confused:(
Then, I bought random products, for my hair care, body care, face care, and skincare (I paid in installments guys:D one by one, not once at all bcause they are expensiveT_T)
here I want also to share my lovely products!
I remember my first product that I bought is moisturizer from Nature Republic. Unfortunately, my skin used to very dry. Then I changed into body lotion which from Eternaleaf.

I bought this at Watsons.

I used to have Vaseline, but I wanted to move on, for I'm bored:).

Finally, I have been using Nivea's product until now (thanks Dila for giving some products from Nivea to me. so thankful 💋💋 )

My face cares are random. lol. but it works.

I was told by an influencer in Indonesia, she has the same hair problem as me. I think my hair gonna be hers. UNFORTUNATELY, NOT! HOW SAD. I was too tired about changing my shampoo, conditioner, and my vitamin. I have tried every brand local shampoo, but it wasn't enough for my hair. Finally, I found something precious. I found a shampoo that really suits me. Head&Shoulder. what a blessed.

My Experience Using Elsa Speak as My English Learning

Hello people! Here I want to tell you what features in Elsa Speak.
The first thing you have to know about Elsa Speak is Elsa stands for the English Language Speech Assist. Short, fun dialogues, get instant feedback from our speech recognition technology.

First, we learn how to pronounce words properly in Elsa Speak.
It shows us the important word of the noun/phrase which means stress words.   (look at figure 1)

I can practice any topics in Elsa Speak for free. For example, I took Job Experience as my first lesson. I spoke as if I was communicating with my Human Resources Development (HRD). It was fun.
Relax, because Elsa Speak gave the script, we just have to follow it.
All we do is speaking in Elsa Speak.
Furthermore, I was helped by feedback which was given by Elsa Speak. (see at figure 2)

After talking all script which was given by Elsa Speaking, at the end of the session, we can see the history, and of course, we'll see all of the feedback. (take a look at figure 3)

Another feature is a dictionary. Elsa Speak provides a dictionary as well as other Education apps.

In the profile screen, you'll see your latest test date. If you feel less satisfied with the assessment test score, you can take a retake test. (figure 5)

How to Use Elsa Speak Properly

Artificial Intelligence-powered pronunciation coach is a slogan for Elsa Speak.

Before starting how to use Elsa Speak properly, I want you guys to know that Elsa Speak provides two categories; free and pro. Both of them have the advantage(s) and disadvantage(s). For free, the advance, of course, we can enjoy using it free. The disadvantage of free in Elsa Speak is we cannot access a lot of features that Elsa Speak provides. Pro, there are many advantages, one of them is we can access features in Elsa Speak wherever and whenever. However, we have to pay for it. It is quite pricey for me especially.
Let's get started.
Firstly, you have to download Elsa Speak on Google Play, App store.

Then, download it in your phone.

You will be directly going to this page. Which means you have to log into your account.
You have to have an account first to use an Elsa Speak.
How to create an account in Elsa Speak? so easy guys, trust me!
Elsa Speak provides two ways through Gmail or Facebook in login or signup Elsa speak. (look at figure 3)

If you are wondering which level of yours and confused where you have to start first. You are lucky joining Elsa Speak.
In Elsa Speak, you can find your level by doing or taking the FREE assessment test. It is amazing, isn't it?
The assessment quite easy guys, you just have to speak 13 sentences, but do not worry. You still can listen to words that you did not know before. The test only takes 5 minutes guys! Imagine it! Anyway, the goal of this assessment is to discover your own English speaking proficiency.

After doing the assessment test, you will be quickly given the test score. Then, you will see the details of the speaking skills' rule (i.g., word stress, sound, etc).

After knowing your level, you can choose your own learning. Elsa Speak provides many topics that you can choose, practice and so on. (see at figure 7)

Using Elsa Speak as Your English Learning

Learning English now is so easy. We do not need to go taking a course on that and spend our money to pay for it. We just need a smartphone or computer even a laptop to learn English through an application. It is just as simple as that. We can learn English every single day whenever and wherever. All we need is only having an internet connection to access it.

I think you guys are already familiar with this amazing application. However, I would like to explain what exactly Elsa Speak is. Elsa Speak is an application which was designed as an English learning. Elsa Speak helps to improve your English speaking skills. I was amazed by using this app. Firstly, I really wanted to improve my English speaking skills, so I was recommended by my lecturer to download an Elsa Speak which was the American accent in it. I can also improve my listening skills. All I want in English learning is only Elsa Speak. in Elsa Speak, I can get the word stress lesson which meant I knew in University. I never learned kind of word stress before. I do not even know what word stress is at first. Elsa Speak provides many topics one of them is to pick your answer: interview (take a look at figure 1).

In the interview, I can choose what lesson should be learned today and so on. Importantly, we can choose which level suits us. There are three categories of the level; easy, medium, and difficult (take a look at figure 2).
